About: The 14th annual event is about protecting and restoring local lands and waters. The 2017 Summit will feature a timely keynote address, “Medical Models for Helping Us Understand Global Environmental Threats” by Eric Chivian, who is the founder and director of the Program for Preserving the Natural World, the founder and former director of the Center for Health and the Global Environment at Harvard Medical School, and co-founder of the International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War, which received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1985. The event also will feature 33 sessions providing tools and resources for organizational development, land protection and stewardship, and watershed management to help your organization be more effective.
