Summer Sunday Tradition at Neutaconkanut

  • Neutaconkanut Hill 120 Killingly St. Providence

About: Neutaconkanut Hill Conservancy and the Providence Parks Department are sponsoring this event as part of the Rhode Island Land Trust Council's Land Trust Days. Hiking was a popular pastime from the mid-19th century through early 20th century. Before cars ruled the day, entire families and groups of friends would take in the sights and the fresh air walking the paths of Neutaconkanut. Photos from the past will be shown. Discover where Roger Williams stood as the boundaries of the Providence settlement were pointed out to him.
