  • Audubon’s Eppley Preserve 160 Kingston Road Exeter, RI, 02892 United States

About: Interested in creating habitat important to a variety of wildlife? Do you own or manage 10 or more acres of land? The Wildlife Management Institute, the Audubon Society of Rhode Island, and their partners invite you to join them for an exclusive tour of young forest habitat at Audubon’s Eppley Preserve. On this tour, you will get a first-hand look at forest managed in an early growth stage. Learn about the potential for creating wildlife habitat on your own land and about financial and technical assistance opportunities available to landowners for this purpose. Biologists from the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management, the Natural Resources Conservation Service and US Fish & Wildlife Service will answer your questions and discuss the biological importance of young forest habitat. This event is free, but registration is required. The meeting place for the event will be the trail head across the street from 160 Kingston Road (a private residence), and parking will be along side of the road in that location
